This position is responsible for the daily care of our animals and cleanliness of the buildings and facility. As an animal care attendant your days will be filled with being a hands on care giver for the animals housed as the Humane Society of Cambria County. Responsible for daily cleaning and sanitation of animal housing areas of the shelter facilities, as well as monitoring the overall physical and mental well-being of shelter animals. This position helps ensure that all of the kennel areas are clean, sanitary, safe and maintained. This position’s number one task is to complete the daily care of all animals in our care, and that animal health and well being is the number one priority.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, 1-3 years animal handling experience.

Required Skills:

  • Able to stand/walk for 8 hours, bend down and stay in crouched position for extended time, climb a step ladder, lift and carry 50 lbs, work in high stress environments, work in loud areas for extended periods, withstand strong odors.

This position will be directly responsible for administrative support to the Executive Director. Responsible for creating and publishing content on all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and Instagram, to grow an audience, build brand awareness, and ultimately, boost adoptions.

The successful candidate will have strong customer service, communication and multitasking skills. This candidate will have knowledge of all platforms of social media and an understanding of how to utilize it to build the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in administrative support
  • Experience in social media & marketing
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Public speaking

Education and Experience:

  • GED plus 5 years experience working in an administrative role, Associate’s Degree preferred
  • 5+ years experience in all social media platforms
  • Highly proficient computer skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

This is a full time non-exempt position.

To plan, organize, and manage all volunteer activities at the HSCC. This position will be expected to  plan and execute all aspects of the volunteer program. This position must show the public that volunteering is a critical organizational function.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Associate of Applied Science in business or related field or 5+ years working with volunteers
  • Experience in marketing and fundraising
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Public speaking

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field preferred
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

Ability to manage volunteers and multiple projects/tasks, pay close attention to detail, and work in an environment that is constantly changing with high pressure for results. Ability to meet frequent deadlines, establish your own goals, work closely with others, be creative and maintain routine paperwork and record keeping.
